The Tatreez and Wellness Program at MENA Community Center brings together culture, creativity, and care. In these workshops, adults learn the traditional Middle Eastern art of tatreez and embroidery, keeping the culture alive for future generations while living abroad. The program also creates opportunities for participants to make thobes and other items that can be sold as a source of income. Alongside the embroidery, a mental health counselor leads group sessions that give participants a space to talk, reflect, and support their well-being. It is a place where community members can celebrate their heritage, learn new skills, and care for both their cultural and emotional needs.
